How to Clean Sterling Silver
Each piece of my handmade jewelry is carefully constructed with sterling silver, gold plated and gold filled beads or chains, semi-precious gems and stone beads. Pieces are delicate and should be handled with the utmost care. For the best preservation of your jewelry, avoid spraying perfume or applying lotions/tanners/oils on to the product as that may result in tarnishing. Avoid high exposure to sunlight and humidity. It is best to store Sterling Silver in an air tight pouch or container. Rubbing with a Sterling Silver cloth regularly will keep most of the tarnish from forming.
*To clean silver jewelry pieces, make a dip using 1 tablespoon baking soda, 1/2 cup white vinegar, 1 tablespoon white salt, aluminium foil and 1 cup hot water. Place aluminium foil in a bowl and pour hot water into it. Then put fresh baking soda, vinegar and salt into the water. Submerge the silver jewelry in the water and allow it to soak for half an hour. Then, rinse it and allow it to dry.

How to Clean Pearls
Pearls are organic stones and react quickly to any form of chemicals like perfumes, lotions and hair spray. These chemicals not only cause the pearls to lose their luster, but also stain them. So wear your pearl jewelry at the end after you have applied perfume and lotions. Clean pearls only with lukewarm water and never brush them in any way. Wipe them with a soft cotton cloth.

How to Clean Jewelry with Colored Gemstones
Sunlight can cause many colored gemstones to fade, change color or even crack. Gemstones like emerald, coral, amber and turquoise should not be cleaned with soap and water. Just use a soft damp cloth to wipe them clean. And always remember to put on your perfume, deodorants or hair spray before you wear your delicate stones, otherwise it can cause stains and discoloring in the stones.
